  • “We do not install customer supplied parts.” for the following reasons:

  1. Regardless if you purchased your parts on AutoZone, eBay, Amazon or Craigslist, we simply don’t install customer supplied parts, for those interested in knowing the “why” behind this policy, we offer a general explanation below.
  2. It really does not service the customer well. You may think you are saving money, but in the long run you are not. 
  3. The parts are typically of inferior quality, and when your supplied part fail, you are going to want us to look at it to figure out what is wrong. It is not our part, so you will incur labor charges to find out your part is faulty.
  4. You will have to bear the costs for sending it back for replacement, in the meantime your car is down, and you need it to drive.
  5. You will be paying to reinstall the defective part replacement, as we did not supply the part. 
  6. Instead if we purchase the part and it fails within the warranty period, we replace it for you at no charge. 
  7. Would you bring your steak to the restaurant and ask them to cook it? ”Sure, you could buy a steak yourself for much less than you’d pay for it at a restaurant, which would never allow you to bring your own. They wouldn’t be able to confirm its freshness, and might be worried you’d complain about the taste, when they never would have served you that type of steak in the first place.
